One of the things parents face most their children fighting them over homework. Sometimes it’s brutal and it seems like there is nothing you can do. A losing battle. Of course when this is almost every day it’s understandable to want to give in. So when Arlene, a learning success customer from East Earl Pennsylvania, ran into this problem she said she felt like there was no solving it. She couldn’t get her child to do the learning success exercises. Kicking and screaming he absolutely refused.

In this interview she talks about how she used just a little negotiation to get through it. And once she did, look out. Now here son thinks it’s his idea to do the exercises and he even says they are helping him. His teacher says reading is getting better and he’s improving in many areas Those tantrums can be really tough to get through. Just realize that they are happening because of previous failure. It’s a self protective mechanism. Once those failures turn into successes, even small ones, the kicking and fighting goes away. Kids often even want to do their work. It becomes fun for them once they begin to succeed.

Kudos to Arlene for pushing through it and getting to the other side. With this success behind her she may even use the program with her other son and maybe even her husband. Stay tuned to find out. Here’s the audio recording of an interview Liz did with Arlene. I think you will enjoy it.
