See what’s in the Roadmap ↓Took one of our free screeners?
Your screener report is a starting point, not a diagnosis. It doesn’t change the IEP or 504 plan. It showed where your answers point.
The free trial asks more, about your child as a whole. Within 48 hours you get the Roadmap. It names the skill to build first and the program that builds it.
Haven’t taken a screener? You don’t need one to start.
You fought for that plan. Now you want to know your part.
You went to the meetings. You read the scores and the pages of school words. You signed.
Everyone in that room has a part. The teacher. The specialist. Maybe a reading or math specialist.
And you went home wondering what yours is.
Your part is real. Part of it happens at home, a few minutes a day.
Three things you can do this week
Ask which skills the goals cover
Ask the team which skills the IEP goals cover. Practice those same skills at home, a few minutes a day.
If it’s a 504 plan, ask the teacher which skills are hardest right now.
Keep a short note
Keep a short note of what you practiced and what you saw. Bring it to the meeting.
Keep it light
Keep practice short and calm. Stop while it’s still going well.
Helping with homework goes wrong when it turns into pressure, and you can learn to notice it (Grolnick & Pomerantz, 2022).
What federal rules say about your part
Here is some of what federal special-education rules say about IEPs and IEP meetings, as of October 2026.
- Parents are members of their child’s IEP team.
- You can bring someone who knows your child, and you decide whether they do.
- The school must tell you about the meeting early enough for you to attend. It must set a time and place you both agree on.
- If you can’t attend, the school must offer other ways to take part, like a phone call.
- When the team writes the IEP, it must consider your concerns for your child’s education. That doesn’t mean it must do everything you ask.
- It must also consider your child’s strengths, the most recent evaluation and your child’s needs.
- The IEP is reviewed at least once a year to see whether the annual goals are being met. It’s revised as needed, including when progress isn’t what was expected.
- The IEP must say how progress toward the annual goals will be measured. It must also say when progress reports will be provided.
- You get a copy of the IEP at no cost.
Your state may add its own rules too.
The rules above (as of October 2026) are for IEPs, not 504 plans. If your child has a 504 plan, ask the school how it works.
Your child’s Learning Roadmap: the plan for home
Five guided questionnaires cover reading and schoolwork, how your child takes in sounds and words, attention, feelings and home life. Do them at your own pace. A person on our team reviews every Roadmap before it’s sent.
- 1Start your free trialInstant access to the questionnaires and every program.
- 2Answer at your own paceAbout what you see at home. Your child doesn’t take a test.
- 3Roadmap within 48 hoursReviewed by a person before it’s sent.
What your Roadmap tells you
- Which skills are strong, and which to build first
- The program that builds each one
- What to do in each session, and how long it takes
- What to say while your child works
- What to watch for, and how to keep track of progress
- When to change something, and what to change to
- The words to use with the school team
Yours to keep.
Even if you cancel during the trial, the Roadmap is yours. The plan shows you how to keep track of progress. Bring your notes to the meeting, along with any questions about how the IEP measures progress and when you’ll see reports.
If you suspect a vision, hearing or medical cause that hasn’t been checked, get it checked. If it’s being checked now, let that finish before you start the Roadmap.

You already want to help. What’s missing is the how.
When your child gets a word right and looks up, the face they will want to see is yours. No app can give them that.
We teach it, one small step at a time. Each exercise tells you what to do, how long to do it, and what to say. No teaching background needed.
A few minutes a day, around the school day
Sessions run 5 to 15 minutes. The first ones are five minutes or less, on purpose. A step that small is hard to say no to. It fits around homework, therapy and tutoring.
What your child’s plan draws on
The 5-Minute Reading Fix
Short video lessons in phonics, spelling and writing words from memory. Each word is shown letter by letter, and the picture comes last. There is nothing to guess from.
Attentive Ear
Listening practice. Telling similar sounds apart, holding a string of sounds in mind, and hearing one voice over noise.
Subitizing and Speedy Numbers
Seeing small amounts without counting, and tracking numbers across a page. Neither program teaches math itself.
Brain Bloom
Seeing, movement, spatial awareness, plus confidence and growth-mindset work. Your Roadmap says which parts to use.
All of these run alongside your child’s reading, spelling and math instruction, not in place of it. Do both.
What one parent noticed
Every child is different.
“He HATED [an expensive gamified program]… I have NONE of that with your program.”
One parent, describing their own child. It is not a measured result.

Why the Roadmap exists
Learning Success has spent fifteen years helping parents make sense of what they see at home. Thousands of parents have used these programs with their children.
A school plan has a lot of people on it. We built the Roadmap for the part that’s yours. It’s one plan, built around your child. It tells you what to do this week, and why.

Before you start
Isn’t the school already doing this?
The school does its part. This is yours, at home, a few minutes a day. It runs alongside the IEP or 504 plan, not in place of it. Keep both.
Will this help my child meet the IEP goals?
We don’t promise results, for IEP goals or anything else. Every child is different. The plan tells you what to practice, how, and what to watch for.
Does Learning Success track progress for the meeting?
No. The plan shows you how to keep track of progress yourself. Bring your notes to the meeting.
Can I share the Roadmap with the school team?
Yes. It’s yours to keep and share.
My child has a 504 plan, not an IEP. Is this for us?
Yes. The Roadmap and the programs are the same. The meeting rules on this page are for IEPs. Ask the school how your child’s 504 plan works.
Does the Roadmap change the IEP or 504 plan?
No. It doesn’t add to any evaluation your child has had, or question it. It’s a plan for home: what to build, in what order, and how.
How much time does this take each day?
Five to fifteen minutes. The first sessions are five minutes or less, on purpose. Sessions are built to finish before your child tires of them.
What if we miss days?
Pick up where you left off. Your Roadmap is a sequence, not a calendar.
How soon will we see changes?
Every child is different, so we don’t promise a timeline. Your Roadmap tells you what to watch for.
What happens when my trial ends?
Nothing is charged during the 7 days. When the trial ends, the plan you chose begins: $69 a month or $397 a year, renewing until you cancel. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
How do I cancel?
Online, anytime. Log in, go to My Account → Subscriptions, and click Cancel. No calls, no forms. Even if you cancel, the Roadmap is yours to keep.
We use ESA or state education funds. Does that work here?
Yes. Learning Success is available through ClassWallet and Odyssey. Find us in either marketplace. Through both, All Access is $397 a year.
